Home News and reviews New software version 19.22 for Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) is available
10.04.2024

Oracle Database Appliance is an optimized database software and hardware that is easy to deploy, use and manage. By integrating hardware and software, ODA eliminates the complexities of non-integrated, hand-assembled solutions. Oracle Database Appliance reduces software installation and deployment times from weeks or months to hours, while preventing configuration and setup errors that often result in suboptimal, difficult-to-manage database environments.

The new Oracle Database Appliance software version 19.22 supports Oracle Database 19c functionality on Oracle Database Appliance hardware models.

This release is supported on the following ODA models: X10-HA, X10-L, X10-S, X9-2-HA, X9-2L, X9-2S, X8-2-HA, X8-2M, X8-2S, X7- 2 -HA, X7-2M and X7-2S. The new release allows installation on a new Oracle Database Appliance or correction or update of existing software on an existing ODA complex to version 19.22. It is also possible to build, repair or upgrade Oracle Database Appliance database systems.

For more information on critical fixes, see What’s New in This Release (oracle.com).

It is important to note that ODA X10 now supports Oracle Database Standard Edition 2 (release 19.20.0.1 and higher).

We also advise you to learn about the licensing of the Oracle DMBS on ODA. The capacity-on-demand licensing feature in Oracle Database Appliance allows you to change the number of enabled cores as system resource needs change.
